Ground Beef Mixture
· 1 lb ground beef
· 2 tbsp olive oil
· 1 onion, finely chopped
· 3 cloves garlic, minced
· 1 tsp smoked paprika
· 1 tsp cumin
· Salt and pepper to taste
Flatbreads
· 4 flatbreads or pita breads
· 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
Garlic Hot Honey Feta Cream
· 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
· 2 tbsp honey
· 1 tbsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
· Fresh parsley, chopped
INSTRUCTIONS
In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 4 minutes.
Add minced garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
In a small bowl, mix together the Greek yogurt, honey, and red pepper flakes to make the garlic hot honey feta cream.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place flatbreads on a baking sheet.
Top each flatbread with the ground beef mixture, then sprinkle crumbled feta cheese on top.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the flatbreads are crispy and the cheese is slightly melted.
Remove from the oven and drizzle with the garlic hot honey feta cream.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
